There are multiple high schools in Anderson County but the main public school is Anderson County High School. Along with High Schools Anderson County is there are two higher education establishments, Midway College and Kentucky State University

Anderson County High School:
Anderson County High School is located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Their current enrollment is approximately 1200 students. They have a wide variety of course offerings including: regular education courses, agriculture, vocational, college prep, advanced placement, and dual credit with BCTC. ACHS also has successful sports programs, with teams that regularly go deep in the state playoffs. Anderson County High School is the proud home of the Bearcats!


Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg:
They are a Christian school in Anderson County, Kentucky located just 15 minutes from Frankfort, 14 minutes from Versailles, and 10 minutes from Mercer County. They have dedicated, Christian teachers who integrate Christ into all of their subjects, helping students recognize His hand at work in their lives. They welcome you to call, email, or stop by the office to find out more about the great things CAL has to offer. CAL is a member of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). They are located at 126 North Main Street, Lawrenceburg, KY. Ninety-six percent of CAL graduates go on to college. Seniors’ performances on college entrance exams are above state averages. Recent graduates, including Governor’s Scholars, Anderson County Junior Miss winners, Eagle Scout, and Youth Leader of the Year, have received thousands of dollars in scholarships.

Kentucky State University (KSU):
Kentucky State University (KSU) was chartered in May 1886 as a land grant institution. Located in Frankfort, Kentucky – the state capital – KSU offers associate (two-year) degrees in three disciplines, baccalaureate (four-year) degrees in 24 disciplines, and master’s degrees in five disciplines.
Midway University:
Midway University has long been known for its excellence throughout Kentucky and beyond in the program areas of Business, Equine Studies, Nursing/Healthcare, and Teacher Education. With more than 30 majors and areas of concentrations, our programs are matched with the work force needs of the region and are applicable to many business segments.
