Frankfort Regional Medical Center has received Magnetâ„¢ designation, the nation's highest recognition in nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Only five other hospitals in Kentucky and 5% nationwide have achieved this distinction. The Leapfrog Group named Frankfort Regional Medical Center to its 2014 annual list of Top Hospitals, an elite distinction awarded to hospitals nationwide for demonstrating excellence in hospital safety and quality. Frankfort Regional Medical Center's cancer program was granted a three-year approval by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) Program. Considered to be the gold standard for cancer programs, accreditation by the CoC means patients can be assured they will receive high quality patient-centered care. Frankfort Regional Medical Center received the 2011 Kentucky Hospital Association Quality Award in the 100-250 bed size category. KHA's Quality Award is presented to honor hospital leadership and innovation in quality, safety, and commitment in patient care. The hospital also received the award in 2009.
