In 2012, the City of Horse Cave was among the first in the state certified as a Cultural District by the Kentucky Arts Council. The city received this honor for its hard work and dedication in promoting the arts and local history. The town offers an award-winning cell phone walking tour, weekly Bluegrass Jam Sessions, an award-winning annual festival, and arts & science camps for children and adults in the summer.
Since 2012, multi-genre jam sessions have been held on Thursday nights at the Historic Thomas House in Horse Cave, Kentucky. Bring an instrument and join in, or simply come and listen. Open to everyone.
The Hart County Historical Society is a 501(c)3 organization established in 1968. The Museum is an educational institution for preserving Hart County's history and genealogy. Artifacts from many eras are on display.
