Imperial County Workforce Development Board
On the Job Training (OJT)

The Imperial County Workforce Development Board has strategically developed the On the Job Training program. This new initiative is designed to assist new entrants to the workforce improve and develop new skill sets in order to succeed in various industries. The benefits of this program include the following:
  • Reimbursements up to 75% of trainee's hourly wage
  • Employer making all hiring decisions
  • Employer saves recruiting, screening, and training costs
  • OJT trainees are managed like regular employees
