Muskogee is located directly on US-69, one of the most important north/south corridors in the nation, and has easy access to east and west coast markets via Interstate 40 located just 20 minutes to the south, and Interstate 44 located 40 minutes to the north. Muskogee’s central location allows for same-day shipping to 26 of the 50 states and next-day shipping to all 48 of the mainland states using the interstate system.

The two largest railroad carriers in North America, Union Pacific Railroad (UP) and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (BNSF), offer mainline service to Muskogee’s largest industrial parks, including the Port of Muskogee and the Port of Muskogee John T. Griffin Industrial Park. UP’s heavily travelled main line, connecting Chicago and Houston, goes through Muskogee and UP’s Muskogee Yard is within a few miles of the Port. UP delivers cars to the Port’s marshaling yard five days a week.

Over its 5.5 miles of railroad in the Port, the Port of Muskogee Railroad provides daily service to Port Industries for Class 1 interchange, cargo transfer and storage.

Over the Port’s 4.5 mile Midland Valley Branch Line, south of Muskogee, UP serves industries at the Port of Muskogee John T. Griffin Industrial Park. Industrial sites are available along this rail corridor at Griffin and the City of Muskogee’s Southside Industrial Park.  The railroad line is also available for short and long term storage of up to 300 railcars.

Services at the Port of Muskogee
Under contract with the Muskogee City-County Port Authority, Oakley’s Terminal – Muskogee provides a variety of barge, rail and truck transloading services in the public terminal area of the Port of Muskogee. With decades of experience in tailoring its capabilities and available resources to customers' scheduling, equipment, and operational needs,

Oakley’s Terminal Muskogee handles large volumes of bulk and break bulk commodities, including containers, steel pipe, coil, plate, beam, sand, salt, feldspar, clay, granite fines, coal, coke, fertilizer, grain, paper, scrap, glass and ore. Handling Services and Equipment Provided by Oakley’s Terminal - Muskogee.

  • Harbor service with 1,200 horsepower towboat for switching and fleeting barges along river frontage
  • Ample fleeting and staging areas for up to 75 barges
  • One 35 ton and two 10 ton overhead cranes

  • 6,000 link belt excavator with 13.5 yd. hydraulic clam shell bucket and 55' boom

  • 20,000 ton open storage on concrete

Paragon Industries provides coil slitting service in the Public Terminal Area and operates a state of the art steel coil facility, capable of slitting coils up to 72" wide and .5" thick.


Davis Field Airport

Muskogee offers air service via Davis Field Airport located 4 miles south of Muskogee. The 7,200 ft. lighted runway can accommodate airline size aircraft and offers full service capabilities including all fuels, hangar space, base operators, and maintenance.
