BRENT KISLING, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Brent Kisling is a husband, dad, deacon, and public servant. Born and raised on a farm and ranch in rural Northwest Oklahoma, he graduated from Burlington High School and then attended college at Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness. He was the Outstanding Graduate from the College of Agriculture and served as the State FFA President.
Following graduation, Brent went to work for U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe in Oklahoma City and soon moved to Enid to manage the Senator’s Northwest Office. He worked as a District Field Representative until later becoming the Senator’s Field Director for the entire state.
In March of 2001, Brent was appointed by the George W. Bush Administration to be the State Director for USDA Rural Development in Oklahoma. With an annual state budget of over $400 million, this agency oversees the Rural Housing, the Rural Utilities, and the Rural Business and Cooperative Programs in the state.
In March of 2009, Brent was named as the Executive Director of the Enid Regional Development Alliance. The mission of the Alliance is to ensure quality job growth through the expansion and retention of existing businesses and the recruitment of new industry to Enid and Garfield County.
In 1995, Brent married the girl of his dreams, Jennifer, and they have two wonderful children, Layne and Bree. He is a deacon and Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church of Enid and is an active member of the Enid Chamber of Commerce and the Enid Main Street Program. He is a graduate of the Oklahoma Agriculture Leadership Program and was a member of the Sixteenth Class of Leadership Oklahoma. In 2008 he was named one of the Top 40 Achievers Under 40 in Oklahoma by The Journal Record.
Brent has a passion for Oklahoma and he believes our strength comes from the people who live here.
LISA POWELL, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Lisa was born and raised in Enid, Oklahoma and received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. After graduation, Lisa spent the next 1-1/2 years working and traveling in Europe. Lisa then made her home in Dallas, TX where she worked for 10 years as a Product Manager and Sales Director for telecom companies such as AT&T.
In 2009, Lisa moved back to Enid, Oklahoma where she began her career as Associate Director for the Enid Regional Development Alliance. Lisa is on the front lines with many of ERDA’s projects that are vast in scope from leading a local taskforce on housing, to working with both local and out of town businesses on their expansion plans in Enid.
Lisa believes in serving her community and does so as a member of Oklahoma Economic Development Council, Governor’s Economic Development Marketing Team, Enid First, CDSA, Main Street Enid, and the Metro Commission. Lisa is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and the Leadership Greater Enid Class XIV.
Lisa has a busy life as she is married to a budding entrepreneur, has 2 children and is glad to be back home in Enid, Oklahoma.
