Picturesque Maysville, nestled on the banks of the Ohio River in Northeastern Kentucky, is a community rich in history. From it's early years as a gateway for western expansion, through turbulent years as an escape route for fugitive slaves, to its glamorous side as a host to two Hollywood premiers - Maysville has always been proud of the many roles it has played. 

Maysville's beginnings, growth and influence are displayed on the (10) floodwall murals located on McDonald Parkway. 

History & Heritage

Maysville is filled with History, We were the site of the original settlement that is now called Kentucky. We were a stop on the Underground Railroad which is commemorated by the National Underground Railroad Museum on 4th Street in Downtown Maysville and the Harriet Beecher Stowe Museum in the historic neighborhood of Old Washington.
