The Imperial Valley is home to two major hospitals along with a variety of medical clinics to address the medical needs of the public.
Serving the needs of the Imperial Valley since 1956, ECRMC is one of Imperial Valley's medical facilities that has undergone transformation due to a $44 million expansion investment. In 2016, ECRMC formed a partnership with the University of California, San Diego Healthcare Network that will help provide strategic planning, management, and consulting services to the ECMRC Board of Trustees and leadership team. This new alliance will be beneficial in providing a higher-quality, unified, and cost-effective care to patients in the Imperial Valley.
Pioneers Memorial Hospital opened its doors to the Imperial Valley on October 24, 1950. Utilizing its strategic location for providing medical support services to the northern part of the Imperial Valley, Pioneers has been delivering quality patient care and service for close to 70 years. In 1992, the board members of Pioneers Memorial developed a plan to improve their facility that would support the needs of their patients in the early years of the twenty-first century. Through successful fundraising efforts, Pioneers had surpassed their fundraising target to finance the development of the $1.4 million facility.
