Why Adair County?

Adair County, founded in December of 1801, is a rural community that is located directly on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway, connecting to I-65 and I-75. When founded, it was named for John Adair who was then, the Speaker of the House and later became Governor of Kentucky.

Home to Lindsey Wilson College, we take pride in being Blue Raiders. There are approximately 19,000 residents of Adair County and they are our most valuable assets. The citizens are friendly, caring, hardworking, and giving people.

Adair County has beautiful countryside and is abundant with wildlife and fish. Home to the stunning green waters of the Green River and Green River Lake, Adair is a hunter and fisherman's paradise. The Holmes Bend Marina and Resort provides great accommodations for a peaceful, yet fun, get-away whether on the lake or on land.ttplogolargecertified_large.jpg
