Saratoga County has approximately 79,000 acres of predominantly family-owned farmland that produce almost $80 million in agricultural products and employ 1,100 workers annually. The average farm is 135 acres and produces primarily dairy products.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Saratoga County

Cornell University, one of the top universities in the world, is the Land Grant Institute for New York State. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County offers resources to farmers and consumers to help strengthen regional food systems.

Naval Support Activity (NSA), a U. S. Naval Base located in Saratoga Springs, is one of the largest employers in the county with 3,000 activity duty military personnel.
